Causes: Education, Secondary & High Schools
Mission: To provide a rigorous industry-oriented education to inner-city youth of minneapolis and st. Paul to prepare them for admission to and successful degree completion from an accredited technical or other college.
Programs: Charter school open to all students grade 7-12 - to be a best in class public charter school, preparing local youth to secure viable employment via enrollment at accredited technical or other colleges or immediate employment upon graduation. To partner with the community; building a well-educated and prosperous north minneapolis bursting with economic and civic vitality. The academy completed its fourth year of operations in the year ended june 30, 2011 with average daily enrollment of 120 students in grades 9-12. The academy moved to a new location in fiscal year 2012 with hopes that enrollment would increase because of the new location and the opportunities of feeder programs available.
