My two boys have taken two virtual classes with Dreams For Schools. In both cases, the instructors showcased how education can be delivered via the online "virtual" format.
Lessons were engaging, challenging the students to think about a problem themselves (rather than simply copy what the instructor was doing). The educators ensured that the students achieved the objectives at their level, encouraging effort and validating their finished product.
I help volunteer with Dreams for Schools and I find it very rewarding to spread the STEM experience to various schools and students.

Dreams for Schools offered three after-school programs to our students during Spring 2022. The lessons were tailored to be engaging, supported collaboration, and allowed students to be creative as they navigated their beginning engineering tasks. The mentors were friendly and made sure each learner had a voice in the program. We value our partnership with Dreams for Schools and look forward to upcoming school year!!

Both my children took classes with Dream for schools, one for Coding and the other in Engineer Inventors. Overall I was extremely satisfied. The instructors are great and connect with the children and encourage them when they need help. My children had so much during their classes while using their critical thinking skills learning about engineering design process and computer communication. The classes sparked their interest that they both want to continue learning in the areas of engineering and coding. Thank you Dreams for schools!
Both of my children participated in AppJam+ and had absolutely terrific experiences. The mentors connected with the students and challenged them in an extremely constructive way. Students both learned technical skills and were given a chance to let their creativity shine. I absolutely and positively highly recommend AppJam+ and Dreams for Schools more generally (I am familiar with their work and their founder).
Both of my kids have taken multiple classes with Dreams for Schools and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Every instructor was enthusiastic and attentive. We were all so impressed with the variety and quality of projects they did in their STEM and Engineering classes. Coding classes are fun and allowed the kids to show their creativity and humor. The Zoom format also allows my kids to participate without adding something hectic into our schedules. We'll gladly take every class there is!
Our daughter attended one of the Dreams for Schools summer introduction to coding program. It was a great camp that allowed the kids to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills in a fun, interactive way! At the end of the session, she made her own vector character that moved which was fun for her to see. I would highly recommend Dreams for Schools for kids who want to develop their STEAM skills.
Dreams for Schools is an amazing non profit. The program my son participated in was nothing short of amazing. He learned project management skills, how to work with a mentor, how to change plans on the fly and how to develop a game from start to finish. His confidence in coding and coming up with ideas grew throughout the program. He was so proud of his work and his mentors helped him consistently create new ideas and better his game development. He can’t wait to work with Dreams for Schools in the future and we can’t wait to see how his coding “career” advances.
My son had so much fun during Dream For School's summer class. He took intermediate Scratch and was able to learn how to make his online game more interactive. The instructor was patient, kind, and knowledgeable! I would love for my son to take one of these classes again in the future when our schedule allows it. Thank you, Dream For Schools!
My daughter is in the 2nd grade and signed up for this program at the start of the school year. Each week she looked forward to her zoom meeting for this class, she kept everything she made. My daughters favorite project was making the robot! We were surprised that this class ended, my daughter keeps asking me why it has ended and if it will restart again; we are hopeful that this is the case. Thank you for helping my daughter create, imagine and think outside the box.
