Causes: Disaster Aid, Search & Rescue Squads
Mission: Dona Ana County Search and Rescue, Inc. was founded because of the high numbers of lost and/or injured people in areas surrounding Las Cruces, NM in the late 1970's. We are called on for the search and/or rescue of lost hunters, hikers, and people who have wandered away from their home or health care faclility. On occasion, we are also called upon to locate downed aircraft and to aid in the recovery of drowned victims with our hovercraft.
