Programs: Dasi community outreach centerdasi provides a wide variety of supportive services, outreach initiatives, and community education and prevention programs from the centralized location of the community outreach center, including: 24-hour helpline; supportive counseling; court and law enforcement accompaniment; legal and social service advocacy; support groups; food pantry; information and referrals; domestic violence offender program; professional development training and technical assistance for other organizations; violence prevention programs at schools, social service agencies, and youth groups; participation on sussex county sexual assault response team and coordination/supervision of county-wide domestic violence response teams.
the dasi emergency shelter is a safe home when home isnt safe. Survivors of domestic & sexual violence & human trafficking, as well as their children, are welcome at this 15-bed facility when they need protection from violence or abuse. With a comprehensive security system, 24/7 awake staff, & meals provided, survivors can take some time to recover, explore their options moving forward, & plan for their immediate future. The step by step transitional living program consists of five apartments where survivors, either singly or with children, may stay for up to 24 months to stabilize financially & work toward future permanent housing. Participants increase budgeting skills, attend school or job training, or otherwise work to improve their financial situation & security. Counseling, case management, support groups, & food pantry are available to all participants.
