Mission: Doclink, inc. Is a nonprofit organization that links volunteer anderson area doctors and other health professionals to our youth with the goal of educating and empowering them to make healthy life-long decisions.
Programs: Doclink, inc. 's health professional volunteers and staff made 239 presentations to schools in five districts in anderson county, sc reaching 9,240 students on topics such as teen dating violence, safe driving, nutrition, and the dangers of tobacco, alcohol and drug use. In addition, the tar wars program has increased the number of youth who employ tobacco prevention in personal health decisions. The tar wars program has proven to increase the number of youth who employ tobacco prevention in personal health decisions. A post-test quiz shows that their knowledge of the importance of tobacco-free lifestyles has increased. 92% of students passed the tar wars quiz with a score of 75% or higher. When asked about "how do you feel about using a tobacco product? ", 97% of atudents responded "no, i will never use a tobacco product. "
