Nonprofit Overview

Mission: Serving thurston county wa residents with their conflict resolution needs, by offering phone consultation, mediation services, and extensive mediation training.

Programs: Outreach developmenta total of 79,710 area residents received information about our services through public service announcements on radio and tv, our newsletter, speakers bureau, and tables at community events. A total of 144 volunteers contributed 4866 hours of community service as they provided conciliation and mediation services, worked on our board, helped with fundraising activities, and assisted in bulk mailings.

traininga total of 774 people were directly involved as participants in despute resolutions training, which included introductions to the field of mediation, basic mediatior training, family mediator training, victim-offender mediator training, multi-party mediator training, and elder mediator training. We offered 44 different training events to members of the community, schools, agencies, business and our own volunteers/concilators/mediators.

mediationa total of 1398 residents were directly served through telephone services, which include problem solving, referral, case development, and conciliation of mediation scheduling. A total of 893 residents were directly served through face to face mediation services at the mediation table. Another 2926 people were indirectly served who were not directly involved in negotiations but who benefited directly from their proximity to and involvment in the dispute. On average,79% of mediation cases achieved settlements.
