Programs: The housing, employment and family support program involves teaching age- appropriate basic living skills, e g, cooking, hygiene, money management, medication management, and safety rules to people with disabilities. The organization also assists people with disabilities to find and retain gainful employment by providing assistance with job searches, developing interview skills, and filling out applications. The organization may also provide on-the-job assistance once employment is secured. The total number of people served was approximately 100 and the organization provided over 60,000 hours of basic life skills training to individuals with disabilities to promote independence.
the new-to-you computer program is used to expand the publics awareness of the agency, of people with disabilities, and to develop networking opportunities that will enchance the program. The organization refurbishes and recycles donated computers, monitors, printers, and other peripheral items and either donates them to disabled persons or sells them to the public. During fiscal year ended september 30, 2014, the organization provided over 300 computers to disabled persons sold over 1,000 refurbished computers.
