Mission: We are a non-profit, public corporation chartered for the purpose of providing aid in the form of food, clothing, prescribed medication, temporary shelter and limited financial assistance to the citizens of dickson county on an emergency basis. We were established primarily to help dickson county families with children at home, disabled adults, and the elderly in need, who receive little or no government assistance. These guidelines are extended to others in emergency situations like those displaced due to fires and natural disasters, such as floods and tornados.
Results: 1. Food – provided food for 1,500 families (3,572 individuals) over 2,859 times. In addition, we deliver to approximately 80 elderly shut-ins monthly through our End of the Month Club. 2. Backpack Program - $19,173 partnership with Dickson County Coordinated School Health and White Bluff Church of Christ to provide 400-500 children weekly with easy to prepare food for the weekend. 3. Clothing- Provided clothes to 133 families (over 283 individuals) in need. This number does not reflect clothes provided to our school social workers, teachers, and nurses for students in need. 4. Utilities - $92,144 5. Rent/Mortgage- $68,819 6. Medication/Medical - $6,028 7. Emergency Home Repairs for the elderly - $2,291 8. Disaster Assistance (fire & natural disaster) - $50,986 9. Homeless Financial Assistance (motel, bus tickets, gas, and families of domestic abuse) - $26,450 10. Misc. Help (birth certificates, ids, clothes, etc.) - $9,978 11. Air Conditioners, Fans & Heaters – 20 12. Turkeys & Hams for the holidays-1,228 (Topless In Tennessee Jeep Club fried 75 turkeys) 13. Food For Pantry - $52,530 (cost of food we purchased for Mobile Food Pantries and to keep our shelves stocked) 14. 12 Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantries that provided food for over 250 families each giveaway. 15. Christmas Toy Store – Partnered with several groups, churches, businesses, and individuals to help provide Christmas to 401 families with 1103 children. 16. School Supply Give-A-Way – Provided starting school supplies to 249 children, while assisting over 600 through the school system.

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2022, we assisted 2,012 households through our doors, totaling over 4,535 individuals, with food, clothing, and financial assistance, as well as many other services.
