Mission: Help uninsured and underserved galveston county women obtain free screening mammograms. During the fiscal year 2016, d'feet provided funding for 581 clinical screening mammograms. Abnormal screening results on 100 of these mammograms led to 224 diagnostic mammograms, 334 diagnostic breast ultrasounds, 38 biopsies and 23 surgical consults. There were 4 new breast cancer cases diagnosed during the year. 73% of the screening population was returning clients. D'feet staff and gchd public health nurses provide extensive community outreach through participation in health fairs and community events during the year, as well as on site recruitment in underserved areas of the county.

Abnormal screening results of these mammograms led to 299 diagnostic mammograms, 407 diagnostic breast ultrasounds, 59 biopsies and 22 surgical consults, and resulted in the diagnosis of 15 breast cancers. D'feet staff and gchd public health nurses provide extensive community outreach through participation in health fairs and community events during the year, as well as on site recruitment in underserved areas of the county.
