I participated in the Burrowing Owl project at Zanjero Park in Gilbert in the Spring of 2012. It was very organized and everyone worked well together to build the habitats. I also have been on an Owl Talk event at the park recently led by Stacy which was very informative! These experiences have inspired me to register for some birding classes through the City of Chandler! I'm sure I'll be a member of the Desert River Audubon Society soon! Great Group!

It wasn't nearly as long and sweaty a day as I feared with so much help from the community installing burrowing owl burrows at Zanjero Park, Gilbert, last fall. Glad to help the little guys, too! What a great project--an urban setting to see these enigmatic owls. Desert Rivers Audubon was organized and helped provide instruction on what & how to construct the burrows with Greg Clark & Wild at Heart.
