Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Desert Haven Animal Society will provide shelter and care to animals from the Nye County area for the purpose of returning them to their owners or finding them suitable new homes.
Results: As one of two municipal shelters of record for Nye County, NV, Desert Haven receives intakes in excess of 2500 animals annually, including legal impounds, strays, abandoned animals, and public surrenders. Resident population at any time may include approximately 60 dogs, 75 cats, a variety of small mammals and reptiles, and livestock, including equines, goats, pigs, and cattle.
