Causes: Community Clinics, Health, Hospitals, Public Health
Mission: To provide preventive and pain relieving services to low income residents as well as to educate children about proper oral hygiene habits.
Results: DHA has donated over a million dollars in free and low cost dental services over the past 25 years to families in Tarrant County.
Target demographics: Low income families in Tarrant County receive low cost dental services
Direct beneficiaries per year: Approximately 10,000 people between both programs!!

Programs: The organization provides low cost dental services to families in need in the DHA Dental Clinic located in the Arlington Human Services Building. Patients can go to website to check for eligibility : they must be a Tarrant County Resident, provide poof of residency and income along with a valid photo ID. DHA follows the HUD guidelines for low income eligibility. In addition to the dental clinic, DHA SMILES Program offers free preventive services to students in the Arlington ISD. The SMILES Team provides toothbrushes, oral hygiene education, fluoride and decay-preventing sealants to all children with a signed permission slip from their parents. These services are made possible through grants and generous donations by individuals and community members.
