Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Dental aid strives to improve the quality of life of children and adults struggling to afford health care by providing compassionate, high quality dental care and education, while advocating to ensure access to care.
Programs: In 2014, dental aid provided comprehensive oral health care for 8,107 low-income and uninsured individuals. Approximately half of our patients are children. Dental aid remains one of the only affordable oral health care options for low-income and uninsured individuals in boulder and broomfield counties, as our fees are approximately 50% of the private dental practices in our area. Our patient fees only cover 75% of the cost of our services. Dental aid relies on our funding partners to help us cover the additional 25% of costs not covered by patient fees and to subsidize care for patients who cannot even afford our reduced fees. During 2014: 8,107 unduplicated patients made 22,333 visits 46% of patients were 0-18 years old 53% patients were 19 years and older
