Causes: Environment, Environmental Education
Mission: The nature center maintains a facility, museum and wildlife preserve in mystic, connecticut dedicated to promoting environmental education and awareness. The center manages over two hundred acres as a nature sanctuary which is open to the general public for a minimal fee and various programs are provided to school children, adults and families in order to inspire and nurture appreciation of the natural world and forst personal environmental ethic.
Programs: Preparation and presentation of environmental education programs and activities for all ages year around, at the nature center and in schools, libraries, community and senior centers throughout greater southeastern connecticut and western rhode island.
