Mission: The purposes for which the corporation is organized are to conduct research in the field of Astronomy and to promote and encourage science education in schools and to the public, particularly in the area of Astronomy. To build and maintain an observatory for the use of amateur and/or professional astronomers and to undertake other projects, programs and activities not inconsistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as the need to do so presents itself in the opinion of the Board of Directors. This organization is organized and operated exclusively for scientific and educational purposes within the meaning of 501(c)(3).
