Mission: The daly city peninsula partnership collaborative (dcppc) was formed to promote and facilitate collaborative efforts to ensure that all members of the community have access to health, education and social services.
Programs: (expenses $ 1,038,249 including grants of $ 0) (revenues $ 520,401)after school academic programsthe kindergarten readiness summer program serves children who have not attended a curriculum base preschool program and/or are english language learners and will be entering kindergarten in the fall. The program focuses on basic academic preparedness and appropriate classroom behavior. The children also meet their kindergarten teacher. The literacy tutoring after school program serves children who are behind their grade level in literacy. Students are referred to the program by their classroom teachers. Tutors provide specialized attention helping students to become better learners. The homework assistance program provides structure, space, and supervision to children who have a history of low homework completion and/or poor quality assignments. The goal is to develop better study skills and habits to increase the rate of completion and overall quality of homework. Instructional aides conduct the program. Students are referred to the program by their classroom teachers. Enrichment classes introduce life-long learning opportunities to children. A wide variety of classes provide personal enrichment for students allowing them to develop new skills and/or interests while motivating them to do better in school. Classes include dance, music, art, sciece, and other enjoyable classes. All after school programs are offered at the fifteen schools within daly city.
community action response team/differential response programthe community action response team (cart) are dedicated professionals who currently administer the differential response program (dr). Dr is an intensive wrap-around home preservation program that offers in depth case management with families in need. One hundred percent (100%) of the referral families come from san mateo county's children protective services. Cart staff works with the families, usually in crisis mode, up to six months to help stabilize the situation. The program serves daly city and the northern region of san mateo county.
our second home (osh) early childhood family resource centerosh is daly city's first community center dedicated to helping raise young children. Working with families and caregivers with children, prenatal through five years of age, osh offers a variety of free services including individual and family therapy, parent and provider workshops, health and development screenings, resource library, play groups, nutrition workshops and much more. The center promotes healthy development, academic readiness and safety and serves daly city and san mateo county.
