She was brought to san antonio for medical care and the dallas-haiti project pledged to help rebuild her family's damaged home in haiti. The overall project included donated services by american architects and construction managers that resulted in a home in leogane built with haitian materials and by haitian labor. The grant went directly to those haitian services for building the home.
