Mission: The goal of dairy cares is to raise funds for other non-profit organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code.
Programs: In 2017, dairy cares had its annual garden party fundraising event and for the first time, added a run event, too, called "kickin' it with the cows". Dairy cares' direct gross receipts from the garden party and run events were $313,544. After expenses were paid for the two events, dairy cares distributed $179,850 to children's hospital foundation. Additional funds in connection with the events were contributed by other donors directly to children's hospital / children's hospital foundation. Total donations to children's hospital / children's hospital foundation in connection with the 2017 dairy cares' fundraising events exceeded $207,000.
