Causes: Civil Rights
Mission: The mission and vision of cultural diversity resources is to build communities that value diversity through serving as the intercultural bridge that strengthens bonds and facilitates understanding among diverse communities.
Programs: Metro interpreters resources center (mirc)- coordinated and scheduled interpreters in ten major languages for 390 hours. - provided 40 hours of training to certify 20 professional bilingual interpreters for cass & clay counties.
multi-ethnic leadership & community development- established multicultural alliance, partnership among four ethnic-based nonprofits, and collaborated on common projects e. G. English classes, after school youth activities, community gardening, nutrition, cooking & sewing classes and cultural events. - served 540 ethnically diverse individuals, nonprofits and communities with education,information and technical assistance.
education & job development center- provided onsite office training and work experience for three (3) trainees referred by job service of nd and mn concentrated employment program (mncep). Three (3) college student interns from ndsu & msum gained cultural knowledge and work experiences working with diverse individuals. - assisted 108 clients with resume creation, job searches, applications and referrals.
