CAF was founded in the early-90's with the mission “…to provide assistance to individuals or families in an immediate financial crisis, after all other sources of assistance have been exhausted.” We are comprosed of 7 Board members, all volunteers.
Assistance is provided to Stanly County residents. Priority is given to families with children in the home and those with chronic or acute medical issues.
Payments are made direct to mortgagers, landlords, or utility providers.
in 2022, 96.3% of expenses were for the benefit of 36 families in a crisis situation.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization.
