Programs: Crestmont school is a cooperative k-8 elementary school located in the scenic hills of richmond, california. It was founded in 1969 with the goal of creating an environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, community spirit, and academic excellence for children of all backgrounds. Crestmont school is a member of the east bay independent schools association (ebisa)crestmont has five classes: kindergarten, first grade, second/third grades, and fourth/fifth grades. Each class has a credentialed lead teacher and an aide. We have four specialty teachers in the following areas: science, music, physical education, and spanish, as well as a part-time learning specialist. In 2017-18 crestmont expanded to a k-6 grade with plans to expand to a full middle school by the start of the 19-20 school year by offering grades k-8. Crestmont currently has approximately 80 students. We offer 18-20% financial aid to 40% of our families.
