Mission: Creative portland is a nonprofit organization that leverages, grows and sustains portlalnd's creative industries, enterprises, and workforce. As the city's official local arts agency we pay particular attention to supporting artists and cultural institutions that are key to portland's identity, economy, community.
Programs: Cultural plan: updated the 1998 cultural plan for the city of portland. The cultural plan is a citywide initiative launched to unite the cultural sector of portland by addressing shared issues, concerns and partnership opportunities to grow and sustain the creative economy. This document is a living action plan and an ongoing collaborative effort to celebrate the arts in the city.
first friday artwalk: opened the doors of portland's visual arts community by joining together and introducing a wide audience to the unique vitality of the artists and venues of portland through monthly arts festivals. Estimated total attendees 2,500, visiting 70 establishements each month.
