Although the scope of ambition behind Creative Migration is impressive, for me it comes down to something very simple and utterly essential: to provide a space for people of all walks of life, and ages, to mingle, exchange ideas and feel at ease. In the fractious environment of Bangkok this is no small task. Since its inception in Thailand, I have watched it take shape and begin to flourish, transforming a rather forlorn historical building into a beautifully restored and lively cultural centre, where Creative Migration is based. It is especially gratifying to witness this achievement in the knowledge that this is also a renewal and restoration of the energy and sense of community that had originally characterised the building.

Creative Migration is a great organization doing important arts and cultural development work in both Bangkok and Los Angeles. This combination brings new fresh voices to each city and compelling programming which challenges how arts organizations can work with local urban communities. I particularly think the artist in residence, which supports mothers and disadvantaged women is an important resource for working artists. We have collaborated with Creative Migration in many projects and have always enjoyed their professionalism and dedication.

Creative Migration has proved to be a professional and reliable partner, leveraging connections to local communities as well as to the art world while flawlessly managing and coordinating the events. Single Thread Theatre (Canada) had a wonderful experience working with the Creative Migration team in Bangkok to produce a solo audience immersive theatre experience and a site specific workshop with primary school students in 2019. They were helpful, hardworking and very committed to supporting us in engaging with the local community through programming that is innovative and collaborative.

I have worked with Creative Migration as an intern for one month at their new cultural and civic hub, Bangkok 1899. It has been a true delight to work with everyone at the facility and I have learned so much regarding sustainability, social work, and how to spark change in local communities. During my internship, I focused on preparing communications and branding for the 60 Second Film Festival which Creative Migration is partnering with, along with integrating sustainability into this upcoming event. I conducted research on environmentally conscious filmmaking and learned from previous case studies that exemplify best practices. From this research, I could bring something to the table that matched the values and ideals of both Creative Migration and the 60 Second Film Festival while improving the way it was being presented. In tandem with the communications work that I did, I also assisted in archiving and coordinating hundreds of images that document the restoration of Bangkok 1899. These images showcase the history of the facility and allowed me to have a unique perspective while working there. I was able to use my previous experience to migrate and organise these valuable images in a coherent manner even though we encountered setbacks and technological difficulties along the way. Whenever we hit a slow point in one area of work, there was always something else that I could work on, one of these things was social media! I finalised reports on audience engagement for the various accounts that Creative Migration has and I helped analyze the results. These statistics were necessary for some of the presentations with the 60 Second FIlm Festival, so I also worked on integrating them. I'm so grateful that I had this opportunity and was able to make a difference in both the internal workings of Bangkok 1899 and their more external partnerships through Creative Migration. I'm also very thankful for the kindness, understanding, and enthusiasm that Susannah, Abigail, and Ying exhibited during my internship. The Creative Migration team is a wonderful bunch and their events are meaningful in ways that the world really needs right now throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and the climate crisis.

It's such a great honor to be an intern at Bangkok 1899. I was given many opportunities and been a part of their projects. My responsibility is mainly focusing on social media which is unfamiliar and quite hard for me, however, I would like to say many thanks to my team for being an emotional supports and helping me go through this tough time. Furthermore, being an intern here allow me to improve my diverse skills and found myself. In a bad moment there may still be some good things, I felt that my internship here was definitely an incredible and amazing moment in 2020!

I was supposed to be an intern at Bangkok 1899, Creative Migration's flagship cultural and civic hub, over the summer break. But due to COVID-19, I ended up having to do a remote internship instead, which proved to be very fulfilling and engaging! As a remote intern working in Singapore, I was given many opportunities to engage with their community events in Bangkok such as organising social media content and correspondence between different parties. Furthermore, I was responsible for data migration and website design for a few of their affiliated websites, something that I was both unfamiliar and inexperienced in. However, this opportunity made me uncomfortable in the best way possible: by allowing me to explore different skills in a safe space, I was able to make mistakes, learn and grow during the internship. Working with a team that was inclusive, patient and supportive was incredibly rewarding! As such, I felt that my internship definitely did not disappoint despite it being remote!

I attended the grand opening at Baan Chao Phraya, which is close to the Golden Mount temple in the old town of Bangkok. They house several foundations with the aim of increasing art, community and sustainability activities in the local community. By pooling their resources their service offering goes further. The education projects that focus on sustainability, such as composting and recycling, are incredibly important to the community. And the verdant canopy of plants, trees and vegetables they are growing only serve to enhance the beauty of the impressive architecture. The people and inspiring surroundings combine to create a welcoming and truly inspirational atmosphere.

Not everyone has the luxury to travel abroad for art and cultural experience. Creative Migration changed the approach by bringing the 'world' into local communities, creating art and cultural diversity in places you least expected.

Creative Migration is a progressive organisation that looks not only to nurture art but enhance its social impact. It does this by encouraging the creation, interaction and reflection on art across borders and socio-economic status.

My first interaction with Creative Migration came from its Bangkok project: Bangkok 1899. Here, Creative Migration uses art as a centrepiece for community building while working in collaboration with several other Bangkok-based charities and initiatives to attend to local needs in a holistic manner. I feel that the project is definitely on its way to becoming a distinguished community centre of sorts that will no doubt provide inspiration and perhaps even a blueprint for the development of similar centres around the world.

I interned with Creative Migration for 3 months, and I loved every aspect of my experience working there. Creative Migration has a brilliant and unique mission for a great cause that opened me to a completely new world that intersected between the arts and non-profits; I gained so much insight in different ways on how to run a non-profit organization at an international level . I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend and participate in exciting events as well as connect with various people from across the globe. Susannah and Jasmin are amazing, inspiring, and such humble people to work with - I couldn't have asked for better mentors! Will truly cherish this experience as it helped me grow both professionally and personally.

I've been incredibly impressed with Creative Migration's ability to flexibly respond to opportunities that align with it's core values - promoting creative connections and sustainability. Most of all, it's core team pays detailed regard to the individual artistic personalities that it works with on each respective project; from my insights as a volunteer, its Director's great strength lies in incorporating her personal artistic passion to skillfully bring people together and facilitate new collaborations.

I started working with Creative Migration since its early days and it turns out not only a pleasant period but also a great learning and exploring experience I have seldom had in other fields. To working on a non-profit in California, especially during the financial down time, is not an easy task. But to many's surprise, we could often find enterpreneurship, energy and optimism in CM organization and its partners and friends. It is not blind optimism but, based on my observation over the years, reflects that people engaged with CM are clear about its mission and where the projects will lead to: self-discovery, innovation, fun, reflection - all the inspiring and enlightening (someitmes sharp) things one should/could find in arts and life, despite various kind of external difficulties. I have to admit that has encouraged me personally, and thus decided to be a part of it for its future growth

I love CM's mission and they way they bring people together for an important cause, quite possibly the most important cause of our time. Bridging the gap between artists and viewers CM makes sustainability accessible. I am a big fan of their events and have been a supporter for years. They are amazing to work with and I am excited to see what is in store for the future.

As a sustainability professional, the entertainment industry has a bit of a way to go, from my perspective. Creative Migration (CM) is an important non-profit and is structured to change this. Not only does CM make all of its films as sustainable as possible, but also has a mission to educate the public and make a real change in this industry. It even has events that are carbon neutral. Creative Migration’s work is on the international stage collaborating effectively with other, I strongly feel this non-profit it is making a difference.

As a lover of modern art, and someone that has observed the positive affect of street art on the public consicousness, I hold in high esteem the challenge Creative Migration has set itself to harness the power of art for the good of the environment. People are trying in so many ways to raise awareness of the harm being done by humankind globaly, so much so that we hear about global warming and enviromental pollution everyday; so often in fact, that we may become numb to the message. Creative Migration is unique in that it provides the artictic slap needed to shake us up, have us react, and ultimately motivate us not to give up the fight. Keep up the good work!

I volunteered for Creative Migration as a video editor of their recent documentary, Post New Bills: The Story of Green Patriot Posters. I immediately fell in love with the project and ended up giving over 100 hours of my time for free in order to complete the film. I am impressed at the detail and dedication the organization outputs when it comes to sustainably completely projects, especially making films. They are doing a great service to the world by spreading awareness about global climate change and setting a great example for all filmmakers who wish to tell their stories sustainably.
