Mission: Creative Commons provides free tools that let authors, scientists, artists, and educators easily mark their creative work with the freedoms they want it to carry. You can use CC to change your copyright terms from "All Rights Reserved" to "Some Rights Reserved."
Programs: We have a number of legal, technology, cultural and education programs that are dedicated to: making it easier for copyright owners to mark their works with the freedoms they want their works to carry; making it easier for the public to find and identify free works and educating the public about the benefits of freely available cultural, educational and scientific materials.
Creative Commons provides us with a way to offer others the use of the content from our non-profit patient education website without totally giving up our copyholder rights. We are proud to support the goals of Creative Commons.
