Causes: Health, Medical Disciplines Research
Mission: To manage the charitable development process for Craig Hospital to include the solicitation, distribution and investment of donations in support of the hospital’s mission. To generate charitable funds to assure the continuation of the best available care for persons with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries served by Craig Hospital.
Geographic areas served: The entire United States and some foreign countries
Programs: This is a fully integrated program with the hospital. It serves to provide recreational outlet and instruction for those who now live with a disability. Included recreational wheelchair sports are: tennis, handcycyling, waterskiing, snow skiing, marathon racing, basketball, quad rugby, hunting, fishing, golf and others. Also included: scuba diving, swimming, horseback riding, river rafting, boating, "hiking" and others. Assistance for patients whose needs exceed insurance reimbursement or fall outside of insurance reimbursement.
