Results: Founded in 1999 to reduce drug abuse and violence among Covington youth, Covington Partners has since expanded our offerings to include a variety of mentoring, family strengthening, and physical/mental health programs. Covington Partners provides wrap-around support services to Covington Independent Public School students in every stage of their educational journey, working every day to keep our community moving forward by eliminating boundaries to learning and success. Through a Community Learning Center approach, providing academic and social enrichment to over 3,000 students annually, Covington Partners works to bring together key community stakeholders, including students, families, partner organizations, funders, staff, board members, mentors and volunteers to all work toward the goal of helping the youth of Covington reach their full potential in school and in life. By supporting the whole child through wrap-around services, each child in Covington Independent Public Schools has access to the support needed to be successful. Through afterschool and summer programs, mentoring, youth leadership, visual and performing arts, prevention programs, and health and wellness initiatives, Covington Partners is helping Covington schools make substantial academic progress, improve students’ key non-cognitive skills, and ensure all students are college and career ready upon graduation. Every aspect of this organization's work is focused solely on supporting the youth of Covington.
