Causes: Human Services, Seniors, Supportive Housing for Older Adults
Mission: As a ministry of the evangelical covenant church, covenant retirement communities celebrates god's gift of life in christian community. We follow the great commandment to love and serve god and one another as taught by jesus christ. (see schedule o)
Programs: Residential living:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 308 residents occupying 236 apartments at 01/31/17. Residency for the fiscal year totaled 109,606 resident days.
assisted living:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were total of 38 assisted living residents at 01/31/17. Assisted living residency for the the fiscal year totaled 11,147 resident days.
skilled nursing & skilled dementia:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 55 skilled and long term residents at 01/31/17. Skilled and long term residency for the fiscal year totaled 17,231 resident days.
the organization was involved in various community benefits projects that include the following:- staff members volunteered a total of 144 hours of their time at arvada covenant church and alzheimer's walk (equivalent to $10,200)- residents volunteered a total of 9,407 hours at local hospitals and clinics, churches, schools, food pantries/banks, shelters, knitting and sewing projects for different organizations, teaching, tutoring and mentoring projects, habitat for humanity, parkinson's support group, alzheimer's walk, set free prison ministry, dia, arvada center, northglenn bicycle program and others. Residents also raised monetary donations ($3,075 in total) for alzheimer's walk- hosted student nursing internship programs for regis university (equivalent to $16,550) - provided space usage for meetings and events for various groups ranging from under 35 people to 75+ people such alzheimer's association monthly support group, parkinson's wellness recovery classes, city of westminster's town hall, standley lake high school link leaders training and nw denver area active minds monthly presentation (equivalent to $58,500)- monetary donations to arvada food bank, denver rescue mission, hope house, growing home, jeffco action center, ralston house and westminster food bank ($8,000 in total)- in-kind donations to arvada united methodist church food outreach ministry ($962 estimated value)- host site for small to large scale community events (from under 35 participant to 75+) such as arthritis foundation pac e aquacize, parkinson's wellness recovery classes and support group, alzheimer's educational event, peace officers international lunch, colorado senior lobby event, city of westminster national day of prayer, house bill signing ceremony and health faire (equivalent to $414,505)
