Mission: The Council of Churches of the Ozarks (CCO) began in 1969 with a handful of volunteers who distributed food and clothing to needy families from the basement of a local church.
Today, CCO helps thousands of hurting families everyday through our 16 diverse human service projects. These services range from feeding the hungry, adult day care, volunteer advocates for nursing home residents, Retired & Senior Volunteers, Eldercare Transit and a variety of other services for the elderly; Treatment for substance abuse, therapeutic horseback riding for children with developmental disabilities, foster parent recruiting and support, and other services.
