Programs: Ced operates its non profit educational programs according to a strategic vision adopoted by the board of directors:1) to create better educated entrepreneurs2) to promote the formation of emerging growth companies that have the potential to scale3) to improve the odds that these emerging growth companies become sustainable and grow4) to boost the triangle's reputation as a great place to start and grow a companyced continues to provide the venture mentoring service (vms), a free program for any entrepreneurial company seeking guidance from a team of seasoned business leaders. The vms program has provided support to over 124 ventures and attracted more than 61 active mentors. Each mentoring team is made up of 2 -4 individuals with diverse startup and operational experience. The annual ced life science conference continued to be a premier event with attendees participating in educational sessions and networking opportunities. The annual tech venture conference attracted more than 600 attendees for educational workshops, panel discussions and networking. Membership remained steady and the number of strategic partners increased to a total of 70. The strategic partner level of membership supports non-sponsored educational programs. An ambassador program continued to assist new members and increase member retention. Ced continues to maintain partnerships with dozens of nonprofit and educational institutions helping support business development and economic growth.
