Causes: Mental Health, Substance Abuse Dependency, Prevention & Treatment
Mission: To provide counseling and education on alcoholism and drug abuse to the residents of la crosse and trempealeau counties.
Programs: Crisis and counseling - cca is licensed by the state of wisconsin to deliver both emergency out-patient and ongoing out-patient services to clients and families struggling with substance abuse. Cca also does assessments for underage citations and for legal requirements. Some of our services are fee based and others may be grant funded.
prevention and education - cca offers many services in the prevention and education of substance use. We conduct many classroom programs that are evidenced based programs for k - 12. We also attend many health fairs and presentations throught the community. We have the largest library specializing in substance use and abuse.
recovery support - cca has numerous programs that provide recovery support in our community. Cca is also home to many 12 step support groups with meetings every day of the year and some days multiple meetings. Our resource center offers an inviting drop in center and we offer meals several times a week as well as a lecture series and other programs to support recovery.
