Mission: The organization's mission is to be a major source of compassion, information, and emergency support for people in the corona-norco community facing personal crises that threaten their stability, safety, and health.
Programs: Food distribution: provided food & sundry items to low income families and individuals through the use of a food pantry. The pantry is open monday through friday and provides bagged groceries to low-income families and individuals who have cooking facilities. During 2014, 4,573 families were served. Clients may receive groceries once per month. A bagged lunch program is also available for the homeless, which provided over 12,000 pounds of food. Overall for the 2014 year 19,306 idividuals were provided with food.
thrift store: provided low priced and free clothing and household items to low income families and individuals. The thrift store also provided clothing once a week to homeless. Shoes, jackets, backpacks, blankets, and hygiene kits are also given to the homeless as needed. School children referred to the settlement house by the school district are given outfits of clothing from the thrift store for school.
rental/mortgage assistance provided to those facing impending eviction from their residence thereby enabling them to remain in thier homes and avoid homelessness. Emergency shelter provided to those in an emergency situation, i. E. Domestic abuse victims, homeless individuals who are ill, homeless women and women with children. A total of 271 families were served in 2014.
