Nonprofit Overview
Mission: We increase the livability and economic vitality of Horry County, South Carolina through public and private partnerships that use the arts as a tool to combat community deterioration and to foster a distinct sense of place. Conway Cultural Development Corporation uses creative placemaking in the context of community economic development to revitalize local communities and build and artistically vibrant region. In coordination with our partners, we design, develop and implement public projects that link art, design, culture and heritage strategies to education, economic development, and urban planning and design.
Target demographics: low to moderate income communities.
Geographic areas served: creative placemaking and community economic development.
Programs: cultural district, arts/cultural facility development, workforce development, adult education in creative industries as well as community arts programming for children.
