I bumped into the pastor at a local grocery store. She was watching me buy up marked down meat. I offered to let her have some and she said honestly she would have no clue what to do with it. We parted ways but something told me to reach out to her. Now I am cooking for the people as much as I can and as often as I can. Using donations and giving my time frees up her time to serve the people who need her. Food donations come in and are appreciated, including meats, but there are still needs to help hold down cost of feeding 15 - 20 people. Certain products and spices are needed to serve good tasting meals. Not tasteless bad food, but good food you would serve your own family and trying your best to work within a budget. I've met some locals who donate things they can but the group can always use more money for making better meals, buying medications as needed. I have grown close to the pastor and some of the men and women in this group. They appreciate everything they receive.
