Programs: Nutrition program: the agency's nutrition program serves hot meals and frozen meals to seniors in the service area, primarily those with low to moderate income as defined under title iii of the older americans act. The agency provided 241,718 hot meals from the 52 senior centers that it utilizes. Additionally 21,895 frozen meals were delivered to home bound seniors during the year.
case management program: this program provides assessment to over 900 seniors with low to moderate income. The agency works to provide seniors with services needed to help them remain in their homes as long as is safely possible. Services provided include respite, chore, homemaker, transportation, legal assistance, personal emergency response systems, medication management, home repairs, and material aid.
the agency serves as the local sponser for the senior companion program and the foster grandparent program under the federal corporation for national and community service. These programs allow qualifying seniors to receive a small stipend for their service.
