Causes: Amateur Sports, Sports
Mission: Connecticut Cubs (CT Cubs) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that specializes in providing a competitive and developmental baseball environments for youth in New Haven County. CT Cubs participates in local and regional Travel Leagues, as well as National Tournaments. CT Cubs also supports training, clinics, and special events. Emphasis is placed on making baseball a year-round activity and promoting the participation for all levels of play.
Target demographics: At-risk youth
Geographic areas served: New Haven County
Programs: CT Cubs competitive 13U and 9U travel teams is focus on teaching the game of baseball and preparing At-risk youth athletes for the next level of play in middle school, high school and beyond. The team will consist of 12-15 boys 12-13 years old, and 12-15 boys ages 9 and under, and will compete in the Connecticut Baseball League. In addition to league competition, these teams will be preparing to compete in regional, and national tournaments. We also serve inner city youths with winter developmental programs and clinics to New Haven youths free of charge thanks to our volunteer coaches and local schools donating their gyms to us.
