Causes: Health, Medical Disciplines Research
Mission: To promote public health by researching health issues and disseminating research findings to the general public, health care organizations and health care practitioners and to contribute to the advancement of education and science by researching health issues and by educating the general public and individuals to improve the general health status of the community and individuals.
Programs: The primary care summit is a venue for primary care leaders, clinicians, hospital administrators, managed care representatives, interested public policy stakeholders and advocates to formulate strategies for the advancement of primary care and appropriate health system reform for the state of connecticut. This day-long conference consists of plenary sessions from primary care leaders and group breakout sessions to discuss and strategize specific primary care topics.
the connecticut choosing wisely collaborative (ccwc) is a multi-stakeholder group representing philanthropic and governmental organizations, health care practitioners & health systems, employers and consumers/patients with a shared interest in seeing the opportunities for choosing wisely to improve patient/practitioner communication, increase consumer engagement and reduce harm and waste are maximized by developing a multifaceted, well designed, well-coordinated, and well implemented choosing wisely campaign for the state of connecticut. Ccpc is acting as the fiscal agent for the collaborative.
the astrazenica copd study is an observational, epidemiological study that includes a retrospective patient history and analysis for data thru 2015. The study will focus on real world patients, age 18 years and older, with copd and seen in primary care settings.
