I have volunteered and donated to CWI since its founding and have always been impressed by the dedication of the founder and team. They are truly working towards making the world a better place for animals and are strategic in determining how they can have the biggest impact.
I greatly admire Carrie's tenacity and persistence in taking action to address issues of animal cruelty and exploitation. This is no easy task, given that some of these entities advertise their harmful animal activities as entertaining and fun.
It is particularly distressing to learn of the cruel and unnecessary deaths of animals, such as Betty the Elephant.
It is even more distressing to learn that veterinarians gave these animals clean bills of health when it was obvious from video footage (as in Betty's case), that this was clearly not true.
I am glad that Carrie has the courage to expose and disable these myths and to seek for animals to be rehomed in accredited sanctuaries.
Keep up the fantastic work, Carrie!

CWI is a great vegan organization who's mission it is to prevent the explotation of animals used for "entertainment" and clothing. I only hope they are able to continue to grow so they are able to help save more innocent, helpless nonhuman animals being abused in the name of pleasure & profit.
"CWI" is committed to helping animals as efficiently, and, professionally, as possible since their inception.
What is impressive is that they cover, animal, justice issues both domestically and internationally.
A, critical, part of that aim has meant going above-and-beyond their, legal, reporting responsibilities and providing full, access to our finances, activities, struggles, and accomplishments.
As an animal advocate, I have been following CompassionWorks International for many years. They do such important work on behalf of ALL animals. From advocacy to education, to activism, CWI has truly made a difference. I have used articles on their website to convince friends and family to take action. I have signed petitions, and shared them with others. I have heard Carrie speak at conferences, and got inspired to do more. I am deeply grateful to Carrie and team to dedicate their lives to speaking up for animals in need.
I have run 3 recent protests (2 circus demonstrations, 1 trophy hunting demonstration) with CWI's help - they provided posters, leaflets, guidance in general, and promotion of the events. They have been a great group to work with overall and I recommend them highly to others interested in animal rights and veganism. In fact, they are one of the few remaining true animal rights groups, advocating for compassion for all species and still physically getting out on the streets to speak up for them!
CWI provides free support to animal activists, which is something virtually no other group does these days! Their advice and materials helped me run a successful protest. I also rely on their videos and investigations to help people understand about animal cruelty.
I subscribe to many animal welfare and environmental organisations ,groups and charities. I send numerous emails ,sign and share petitions , share on social media and contact government officials on matters concerning these groups. Over the last few months I have been inundated with emails asking for donations from these groups over 100 per day. These emails have become a problem , they are constant . I have no spare income , I do not even own a car due to financial constraints and am unemployed retirement age. I contacted all the organisations involved and explained my situation , saying if the emails did not stop I would unsubscribe from them, it was getting too much . All of those that have so far replied have been more than accommodating and polite. Many have said they will take me off of donations and marketing emails . CWINT however were curt , aggressive and made personal remarks. There was no need for their response and they also did not sign their email so I could take up with whom was making these remarks within the organisation. If this is how they treat people who support them after a simple do-able request then who knows what they are really like in other spheres of their operations.
