Causes: Crime & Law, Domestic Violence, Education, Family Counseling, Financial Counseling, Human Services, Spouse Abuse Prevention
Mission: To provide compassionate direction to individuals and families in need through counseling, education and financial benefits management.
Results: A total of 1104 individuals were provided direction by Compass of Carolina in 2023, an average of 92 individuals per month. We have seen Greenville County recidivism rates of our graduates from Anger Management curriculum drop from 5% in 2021 to 0% in 2022 and graduates from our Batterer Intervention program drop from 5% to 2% by year 2022. We offer both in-person and telehealth psychoeducational classes facilitated by licensed facilitators, with most classes offered in both English and Spanish languages.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 1104 individuals were served, an avg of 92 individuals per month, with wide variety of demographics including 113 US Veterans, 607 with self-identified disabilities, 623 who were involved in the justice system, and 52 who self-identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Programs: Counseling & Family Violence Intervention Program: Compass provided services to 1104 individuals in year 2023. 72% were in enrolled in our counseling and family violence intervention programs, which is unique in its holistic approach to serve not only the victims of abuse (adults and children), but also batterers as well. Our support services include classes for Victims/Survivors of Domestic Violence, Anger Managment, Batterer Intervention, Veteran Resiliency, and Second Chance, an intervention program designed for adolescents and their guardian dealing with high truancy and/or behavioral issues.
Financial Benefits Management: Compass' Representative Payee program is designed to assist senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and veterans who have been deemed medically, mentally, or physically incapable of managing their own federal benefits to ensure our clients basic living requirements are met. Of the 1104 clients served in 2023, 28% were part of this program.
