Mission: The organization''s mission is to bring people and resources together to achieve the community''s vision. The common theme woven throughout all of our programming is that of capacity building. Community Vision prides itself on being a convener and builder of social and intellectual capital. The organization accomplishes its goals by offering programs designed to create a community where all persons have a voice in addressing local issues. From engaging thousands of people from all walks of life through neighborhood vision sessions, to focused youth summits, and grassroots leadership development workshops, Community Vision utilizes its marketing, organizational and planning expertise to reach the entire Osceola County community. As a result of Community Vision''s neutral, inclusive process, the organization has successfully produced an engaged community base that is willing to work together to find solutions to pressing community issues.

Osceola Teen Summit –over 200 students representing all area High Schools come together for a day long event with the goal of “empowering students to make a positive difference in their school”.  With motivational speakers and break-out sessions on various subjects, students develop strategies to make a difference in their own schools.

Osceola Summit on Youth and Family – an annual summit with policy-makers, program administrators and citizens to create a more collaborative system to support the well-being of all of Osceola County's children and families and to create a shared vision of Osceola.

The Children’s Cabinet of Osceola County – Over 45 youth organizations and concerned citizens to effectively utilize existing resources to develop and/or integrate services that address the physical, social, emotional, vocational, transitional and educational needs of children and families to produce measurable, positive outcomes for the Osceola County community.

I am a long-time volunteer (15+ years) and former Trustee with Community Vision of Osceola County (CV). I have similar long-term experience with other community volunteer programs, including youth athletic clubs and parent / teacher organizations - PTA and School Advisory Councils.

One measure of an organization's success is whether volunteers feel rewarded in their service role. Outside of my academic and work experiences, I have learned more through my involvement with CV than any other organization or experience. Whether it is youth, leadership, or other programs, CV volunteer experience is extremely rewarding. This is reflected in the caliber of leaders that CV attracts and retains on its Board, and largely due to the hard work and talent of its staff.

The level of support that CV provides our community is incredible. CV helps us understand our most pressing needs and the most effective means of "bringing people and resources together to achieve the community's vision". CV is a facilitator and creates strong synergy with other key players - local, regional, and state, including NGOs, government, and private industry. Being a part of Community Vision before it was a reality was awesome! To see where we were and where we are today and the impact that Leadership Osceola has on our community it top notch. I went through Leadership Osceola in 1996 and it was the best thing I could have ever done! I didn't know a whole lot about Osceola County, but as soon as I went through Leadership Osceola, I met 35 of my closets friends and a strong network to help me learn more about opportunities and where to get involved, but also to increase my business. Once I learned what doors to open and go into, my world changed and I have enjoyed every year of it, now 27 years later! Community Vision plays a major role in what the needs are and how individuals, companies and our local governments can get involved and help make Osceola County a better place. Community Vision has a solid back bone in making our community what it is today and in the future!

I participated in Leadership Osceola Class 2014, and it is the best experience to develop leaders in the community. So needed in this days.
