Community School of the Arts Foundation provide arts education, including music, theater, creative arts, and dance classes at no cost to an often marginalized population: students who have been identified with moderate to severe disabilities. Our uniquely focused program will address the needs of low-income, special needs children at the Public Schools, by providing a safe and supportive learning environment where they can gain exposure to music, dance, theatre and visual arts programs developed to augment academic classes. These synergistic activities will provide participants with a transformative experience, boosting confidence as well as socialization skills, development and coordination. Moreover, program development will emphasize character building through positive reinforcement, role models and the importance of self-discipline.
