Community Rebuilders

Programs: The organization receives grant funding for several continuum of care programs designed to provide housing and support services for homeless persons. Some of these programs serve individuals and families who are considered disabled and chronically homeless. These consumers are assisted with developing individualized goals and ensure the necessary supports to successfully maintain housing long term. Other programs provide short and medium term rental assistance to homeless households with children who are residing in shelters or living on the streets. These programs allow for a variety of housing choices provided in conjunction with a range of supportive services.

the organization receives grant funding for several veterans programs which provide housing and supportive services to eligible homeless veterans. The homeless veterans per diem program and the health care for homeless veterans provides supportive services and housing to eligible homeless veterans. The supportive services for veteran families program provides supportive services and housing to very low income veteran families who are either residing in permanent housing, or are homless and scheduled to become residents of permanent housing.

rental program - community rebuilders provides affordable rental units at rates below fair market value to low income households. This program provides an opportunity for individuals and families to rebuild their rental histories and secure rental housing despite poverty, past evictions, and poor credit.

the home program provides short term rental assistance to individuals and households who are homeless or would otherwise become homeless. Hopwa - housing opportunities for persons with aids offers short and medium term rental assistance and supportive services for low income persons living with hiv/aids and their families. United way allocation - this program provides funding for housing resource specialist services to assist households to prevent an episode of homelessness or to quickly return to housing after an episode of homelessness. Psh connections - this program is designed to provide permanent housing for chronically homeless persons receiving behavioral health services funded by network 180. The goal of this program is to create long term housing stability, a return to self-sufficiency and connection with community for persons who are chronically homeless and in need of behavioral health services. Mshda program - an initiative between the coc and michigan housing development authority to support ending veterans homelessness.
