Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animal-Related, Animals

Mission: Founded in 1998 by members of the animal welfare community, COFA's mission is to provide no-cost and low-cost spay/neuter services to pets belonging to indigent people, low-income senior citizens and low-income families. Utilizing a Mobile Clinic, we will travel throughout Southern California providing needed services to pet owners who otherwise would not be able to obtain veterinary care. This program will help pet owners, and drastically decrease the number of unwanted animals put to sleep each year in our community. By taking the service directly to the source of pet overpopulation, we will make a major impact on the number of animals euthanized.
