Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Homeless & Housing, Housing Development, Construction & Management, Nonprofit Management

Mission: Our mission is to strengthen communities by connecting people to housing resources. We accomplish this by providing affordable housing, administering supportive housing, being a leading provider of homeless prevention and rapid re-housing resources for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, people with disabilities and other vulnerable members of the southeastern michigan community, and offers other housing programs including housing counseling, foreclosure prevention counseling and financial counseling. The principal belief supporting everything chn does is that people and communities are more successful when everyone - including people struggling with homelessness, those with disabilities, and those with low incomes - are part of the fabric of stable communities. Our programs resolving housing crises for people in a variety of situations involve solutions as complex and individualized as those we serve.
