Mission: The Community Check-Up Center is a community-bassed non-profit organization working in partnership with the community to improve the health and wellness of low-income children and families through high quality, compassionate care.
Results: We have been serving the uninsured and underinsured of South Harrisburg for the past fourteen years as an independent clinic. We received the 2006 Peacemaking Award from HELP Ministries, and we were a 2007 Jefferson Award Nominee from United Way. Gretchen Ballard received a Community Service Award from the Hershey Rotary Club in 2008. We also received an award from Gateway Health Plan for physician excellence.
