Mission: Common roots was formed to build and nurture local communities through educational programs designed to teach youth about sustainable agriculture and food security.
Programs: Our school supported agriculture (ssa) program is a collaboration of our farm partners and the south burlington school district to grow food for schools while engaging youth in food education.
the farm to school program is a partnership with the south burlington school district nutrition services, and aims to teach students, teachers, and parents about the value of fresh, local foods.
the farm 2 go program collaborates with chefs and food educators to cook with middle school students who prepare meals for their families using local foods.
