Mission: To save and re-home adoptable animals from local shelters where they would otherwise be euthanized for resons such as lack of space, health conditions or being surrendered. As part of our mission, we also develop and conduct educational programs focused on pet care and responsible pet ownership so that more dogs can remain in their homes and be good family members. We hope to continue to educate the public on humane and compassionate treatment of animals and the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
Programs: Quarterly seminars to educate the public on how to perform canine/feline CPR, minor first aid treatment and recognizing harmful and poisonous foods and household items

The person that runs this rescue is VERY unprofessional and RUDE. I put in an application to adopt a dog from this rescue and I called her with a few questions and she literally said "you can't have the dog, I have other applications to worry about instead!" Meanwhile there was no reason for her to say that because there was no reason I was unable to have and care for the dog. She had also said a few other awful things that would be inappropriate to mention. She was very nasty to me and a few other people that I know on many occasions and she acts very unprofessional and like she doesn't want to be bothered. She is not going to adopt any dogs out with her poor attitude!! I will NEVER go through this rescue and NEVER recommend to anyone. These people need a reality check!
Today is January, 2013 and Coming Home Rescue is bigger and better than ever. NOT CLOSED! Please feel free to call or email. 888-405-7221 or cominghomerescue.org.
Unfortunately, Coming Home Rescue (after accepting thousands of dollars in donations) just announced to the volunteers that it is closing its doors. However, they are still taking donations even though they aren't planning to do any more rescuing. Please save your donations for a reputable rescue.
