Teens In Flight (TIF) is a non-profit dedicated to help teens of military families and community members learn abou the joy of flying and helping them in the right direction if they want to pursue a flying career as a pilot. TIF leadership is dedicated to this mission, and put the needs of the teens first by offering excellent flight instruction and financial scholarships as needed. Great outfit!!
I am impressed by the professionalism of Teens-In-Flight (TIF), and their commitment to aviation safety. TIF continues to offer superb community-wide seminars and outreach programs for our military dependents, as well as for veterans who have served honorably. I have observed "top rate" ground- and air instruction at Teens-In-Flight through active participation in biannual reviews and annual ground training at their facility at the Flagler County Airport (KFIN). Comprised of true leaders and experts with a huge heart, this organization is a nationwide model of excellence for community aviation-training and safety.

Teens-In-Flight Inc. not only conducted a highly professional safety evaluation service on my biannual flight review; they also hosted Rusty Pilots events, which generated safety oriented aviation seminars that were extremely valuable for a growing airport and its local community. I observed a genuine interest of the Teen-In-Flight staff in conducting professional training to young dependents of veterans who gave their "all" to our country. A very impressive and invaluable organization.
I’d been trying to get my private pilots license for two year before I found Teens in Flight. The program is fantastic, the instructors are great and the resources are easy to use. Thank you teens in flight.
Ric and crew have been able to help me from day one. He is a great instructor and always has the answers I need.
My experience with Teens-In-Flight has been incredible. Very positive atmosphere, I'm always surrounded by professional helping hands. In my observations they consistently meet their mission statement and then some. So happy that I found them, life changing for sure.
So proud to be a part of this organization. The results we see on a daily basis far exceed national averages.

I started with Teens In Flight as a Volunteer almost 5 years ago and found it interesting as well as rewarding working with youth and helping them get a pilot's license. Now I am the primary instructor for Ground School and have to say that with the support of many we have been able to reach and make a difference to many youth. Most are from the area, but we have had students come from as far as Washington State because of what they had heard about our programs.
I started with Teens-in-Flight when I was in high school and I’m not an instrument rated private pilot! I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have if it weren’t for this program and the support I’ve received!

My name is Colton Kent. I am 19 years old and by the age of 18 I had received my private pilots license because of Teens-in-Flight. Flying has always been a dream of mine and I never thought that I would be able to make it happen. I have been raised by my single mother and money has been a continuous issue over the years. I was introduced to the program in 2017 and quickly grew to love it. It is not only a flight training program, it is a mentor program as well. The Colonel and Ric will be there for their students any time you need them. I was able to get a reduced rate on my flight training because of my situation and was able to work super hard and study and pass my private pilots Check ride. this was huge for me because I never would have been able to afford it without the help of the program. I still speak to my fellow students, my flight instructors, and others who take part in the program. Teens-in-Flight has given me a head start in my career and made my wildest dreams into a reality that is so close I can almost touch it. I have met people that I never thought I would have the pleasure of meeting such as Lieutenant Colonel Michael Waltz, and Florida Senator Rick Scott. I was awarded a Light speed Zulu 3 headset at the annual Teens-in-Flight Gala party which brought tears to my eyes. A head set is a key ingredient to an aviation career and this program provided me with a top of the line head set. Thank you Teens-in-Flight!
Can't say enough WONDERFUL things about the Teens-In-Flight program. Our son was preparing for his Ground Certification test and they stepped right in and helped with extra support to make sure he was prepared - AND would pass (which he did!). They offered step-by-step guidance, daily calls with him and more to keep him on track. As soon as that was accomplished, the team at TiF were actively ready to get him in the air for the next step in him becoming a pilot. The communication and commitment to teens is amazing!
The best Flight school I have ever attended. People are super friendly, staff ready to help and answer every question 24/7. Not to mention that Airplanes are meticulously maintained.
I have had the opportunity to do several volunteer events for Teen In Flight this year. What I notice at these events is how the teens are learning to work together, take responsibility, and be more assertive even when it is uncomfortable for them. I don't think many of these teens would learn this well without the encouragement and leadership that Teens In Flight provides to them. They are truly making a difference in teen lives.

I have worked as a volunteer for Teens-In-Flight at several different events. I cant help but notice how involved the teens are in these events and how much of a difference it is making in their lives. The sense of responsibility that learning to be a pilot teaches them will be very valuable in their lives and help them in whatever they choose to do in life. This organization does great work with youth in need and I would highly recommend supporting them
Great program reaches out to young people to interest them at an early age in an academic and physical pursuit that may lead to a great profession later in life. Instills discipline in youths with tangible goals to reach and makes an activity more affordable and accessible to those previously blocked by economics.
Teens-In-Flight was recommended to by a friend who used them to get his private pilots license. Their services include very patient yet thorough instructors.
I was introduced to Teens in Flight 6 years ago... fell in love with the concept immediately. Since then I had have the great opportunity to work directly with the administration, staff and a few of the students, they have not disappointed me at all.
The best flight program and opportunity in the area. The instructors are amazing and at fraction of the cost of the other major flight schools.
My son has started his journey and the staff at Teens in Flight have been incredible in mentoring and helping build confidence.
I started with the Teens-In-Flight program over the summer, participating in ground school for about 2 weeks in July. I built connections with the other students there and learned the fundamentals of aviation within a short amount of time! Highly recommend working with them; they provide many resources and guidance to get you started in your aviation journey.
I have been watching Teens in Flight for several years. Their success rate is phenomenal. I have met some of their graduates and they are impressive.
Without Teens-in-flight, I would never have been able to achieve my goal of becoming a pilot. Remarkable organization and I am truly grateful for everything they have done for me.

Teens-in-Flight is a phenomenal non-profit organization. Currently, I am one of Teens-in-Flight's students that is on the scholarship, and I have been flight training for several months. Because of this organization, I am able to pursue my career goals of becoming a commercial pilot. This is something that I have wanted since I was very young when I was first introduced to the wonders of flight. The administrators of this program are great people and great mentors, and through their guidance, I strive to become a better person overall. I learned so much from all of Teens-in-Flight's volunteer flight instructors, who have graciously donated their time to teach me what I need to become a private pilot.
Overall, I am very grateful to have this opportunity to be a part of this great program, and given this opportunity to become a Private Pilot.
I accepted a board position with this charity because I believed that their mission to provide direction, with a dynamic challenge, to youth in our society, was a refreshing change to the typical distractions that teens face in this day and age.
Jack Howell brought his passion for flying, along with his decades of military service and combined it with his fervor for imparting knowledge on to others, and created this amazing service through his Teens-In-Flight charity.
This is a top notch, well accomplished and valuable charity!

This charity serves the kids of military men and women that have been killed in action serving our country and gives them the opportunity to know people love and care about them and the opportunity to learn how to fly. The charity recently expanded their service to children of fallen law enforcement officers.
I've served on the Teens-In-Flight board of directors for more than a decade. I am a small business owner and have to spend my time wisely. I would not be serving on the board if I didn't passionately believe in Teens-In-Flight's mission. I've also personally seen up close how they have made such a positive impact on their students. 5 STARS from me!!

I have served on the Teens-N-Flight board of directors for more years than I can remember. Ret. Col. Jack Howell has a passion and love for teens in need of guidance by instilling the love of flying in them and helping them discover and achieve their goal of becoming a pilot. The program has grown significantly over the past few years and it warms my heart that more young people are being helped and guided to a career in aviation!
I have seen first hand how this program has helped so many of our youth. To watch them grow and accept responsibility is truly an amazing thing to witness.

I am proud to serve with this organization, but I am even more proud of the youth and their dedication and commitment to excellence. The effort they put forth every day to become pilots and rise above their situations is in itself inspiring. SO my hats off to everyone who is involved in making this happen.
This is probably one of the best nonprofit organizations I have seen. What they do for people to achieve their flying dreams is absolutely outstanding. Before you consider any other flight organization please consider this one, your time will definitely be worthwhile. I personally am getting ready for my solo and I couldn’t have done it without this outstanding organization. I highly encourage others to consider this organization!
I have a long time interest in aviation and signed up for their ground school (16 weeks of 2 hour per week guided study) with both online study and assistance from a classroom instructor. The quality of instruction far exceeded my expectations and was a significant aid to my understanding of the complexity of aviation operations.
5 stars hands down, when I started with Teens-In-Flight I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. However, this charity helped me to find a love for flight and allowed me to learn without slapping on the big fees others would charge.
The Teens-In-Flight program teaches young people life and career skills that without this program they may never have the opportunity to achieve. This organization members have a passion for flying and believe that our youth deserve to learn that passion, no matter what their circumstance. It gives these teens a chance to show what they can do. Cost of flight school, college, and just everyday living can be a challenge for these youth and their parents. This organization stands behind our military and gives back to our military families in a positive manner, helping their kids develop skills for success.
Teens-In-Flight has been the best program I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. The organization has funded all the expenses for my private pilots lisence and took the time to sit down and teach sessions on basic academics of aviation. I'm currently recieving flight hours with the plane and instructor provided by the program at no cost in the picture.
One of the coolest organizations I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. Teaching the younger generation how to fly airplanes and giving them the tools they will need to be successful.
I know Jack Howell personally. His program is designed to help young people acheive life skills along with career skills. This organization is well run and focused on bringing out the best in our future leaders, and paves a path to success. Great work by a dedicated staff.
The program offers the Teens in the community to be a part of a group that encourages the Teens to learn,;structure and experiences which helps them choose goals and a future
The Teens-in-Flight program has taught me a lot. I have learned that the extent of one's attention to detail is the most defining attribute of a person. This program has taught me to work as hard as I can to learn new things. Further, if I don't understand at first, I have learned to never give up. I love this program and can't wait to get into a cockpit!
I'm currently in this program and i've been in it for about a month now. It's such a great program. The instructors are always ready to answer questions. I'm working on my Private pilots license and I learn so much every class we have.
I've learned so many different and amazing things during this program. It's an amazing opportunity and its equally amazing to experience in real life! Everyone works really hard in this program and we all help each other succeed. I'm really thankful to everyone who has helped and will continue to help us as we keep learning how to fly.
I am going through ground school with Teens-In-Flight and I am learning many new things about aviation and piloting. They are providing an amazing opportunity for me and for my future.
A fantastic organization providing help for those teens suffering from Post Traumatic Stress. One of the best things this organization does is provides for free flight training for students desiring to obtain their private pilot license. This license opens the door to many possibilities in the field of aerospace! Another neat fact that 100% of Teens-In-Flight students completing the program go to college....most on scholarships.
This is an organization that truly makes a difference. The changes in the teens who participate are visible and significant.
My son is in the Teens-In-Flight program, he is 15 and working towards getting his private pilot's license at no cost to us, because of this program. None of the employees get a salary, they all work for free to assist these kids with their love of flying. They are now partnering with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, who is also offering support to these teens, at no cost to the families. These kids are working towards scholarships with the school and most plan on joining the Air Force to continue their love of flying. This is a great program for these teens who are either children or siblings of someone wounded during active duty with the military or kids who love to fly and who's parents could never afford to pay for private ground school.
