Programs: Coldwater exists to develop leaders and promote transformation in the community. Coldwater does this by providing a continuum of educational, outdoor leadership and service-learning programs that foster purpose and character in people and engagement in the needs of community.

partnership with northwestern college: coldwater has a staff person on the nwc campus. This position has provided continuity, depth and alignment with nwc outdoor programs. In addition to the work on the nwc campus, the staff has been training leaders from the nwc student body to work with the youth of orange city. The position coordinates the portage program which is a new student wilderness orientation program that aims to foster relational connectedness with leaders and new peers, facilitates a healthy transition from high school into college, begin to develop a vision for participating in an nwc education, greater sense of self efficacy, and cultivate a commitment to faithfulness and a health spirituality.

partnership with the grand marais evengelical free church: coldwater has partnered with the church to provide a dedicated youth pastor position implementing a youth development strategy. Utilizing service learning and adventure education, the goal of the ministry is to empower the youth to mature in their faith to become consistent in applying christian principles to their daily lives.
