Causes: Mental Health, Substance Abuse Treatment
Mission: Coda's mission is to significantly reduce mental health, alcohol and drug problems and their social, health, and behavioral consequences through use of evidence-based practices, partnerships with other social and health care providers and advocacy for effective public policy.
Target demographics: Men, women and their families who are struggling with Substance Use Disorder.
Geographic areas served: Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties in Oregon
Programs: We operate recovery centers in Portland, Clackamas, Gresham, Hillsboro, and Tigard. Services provided at these sites include: • Individual and group treatment as well as psychiatric care for clients with poor or no insurance coverage. • Rcovery-based counseling and care coordination, including an emphasis on obtaining and maintaining employment, accessing health care and housing. • Methadone and bupenorphine replacement therapy to individuals dependent on opioid drugs. • DUII services as well as case management. • Women's residential treatment services for pregnant and parenting women involved with child welfare or criminal justice. Children may reside on site with their mothers. Improving parenting skills and housing are key targets. • Transitional housing for women and women with children who are involved in the child welfare system and are working to regain custody of their children. Offering safe housing, on-site monitoring, and visits with children. • Men's residential treatment. Gaining employment and housing are two primary goals of treatment.
