Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: The mission of CMMNJ is to educate the public about the benefits of safe and legal access to medical marijuana.
Results: In 2010, the New Jersey Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act passed into law.
Target demographics: Patients, families, health care organizations and advocates for medical marijuana.
Direct beneficiaries per year: The Medicinal Marijuana Program is not yet up and running.
Programs: For the past seven years we have been: Holding monthly public meetings and annual Board meetings; Attending community events where we distribute free literature and sell t-shirts and wristbands; Holding press conferences, town meetings, demonstrations, and lectures; Publishing Op Eds, letters-to-the-editor, blogs, columns, articles and public comments; Testifying at legislative hearings; Updating our web site and facebook pages with pertinent information; Attending national and regional conferences; Creating Patient Advisory Groups.
